In the last blog I talked about a great CRM system called Dubsado and all the wonderful things it can do to streamline your business – in the process saving you time, money and headaches. One of my favourite things in the world is to set up Dubsado for my clients. However, although it can be a tricky and time-consuming process, you can set it up yourself. In this blog I’m going to give you 5 steps to doing just that.
5 steps to set up Dubsado
1. Get prepared:
Get together all your logos, images and banners before you start so that you can just upload them as you go through the process. Then use pen and paper or a flowchart tool such as Draw.io or Google Draw to map out your business workflows (the steps in the processes that you use in your business again and again).
2. Set up your Dubsado account:
Go to Dubsado and sign up to start a free trial. If you’re ready to pay straight away you can get 20% off by clicking on this link.
3. Customise your account:
Once in your Dubsado account, work your way through the tabs, adding all your information, links and integrations to other software:
- branding colours, logo, business email address, etc.
- payment options such as Stripe, Square or PayPal
- other apps such as CloudSpot or QuickBooks
- project sources
- chart of accounts
- packages you offer
- payment schedules
- client profiles
- email templates
- email signature
- lead capture
- client work status
- project tags
4. Automate your system:
Use the workflows that you mapped out in Step 1 to tailor the workflow templates provided by Dubsado to your business.
5. Test your system:
Make sure that your whole system works before using it with clients, by testing it from the point of lead capture through to project completion and invoicing. You want it to be absolutely perfect before your clients get to experience it. For more detail on these steps, please see my free download, Your Quick-Start Dubsado Guide:
